Mother`s Blue emerged champions in the Inter-School Volleyball League, which was organised by Mother’s Public School (MPS) at its campus here from April 8 to 11. Mother`s Blue defeated Mother’s Green in the final 25-21, 23-25, 27-25, 25-23.

Altogether four teams vied for the trophy in the four-day tournament, which featured a total of nine matches. Mother’s Violet and Mother’s Red were other two teams in the fray.

The four teams comprised players from DAV School (Pokhariput), BJEM School, Sai International School, St Xavider’s School (Khandagiri), DM School,Geeta School, Maharishi School, Delhi Public School and host Mother’s Public School.

Rahul Chawdhry of MPS was adjudged best booster and player of the tournament. Prizes for best spiker, best libero and best emerging player were claimed by Radha Govind (BJEM), Abhijeet Mishra (DAV) and Abhishek Panda (MPS). PMS principal Poly Patnaik handed over the trophy at the closing function.
