Mother`s Public School emerged champions in the Sahodaya Complex Inter-CBSE School Football Tournament, edging out Delhi Public School (Kalinga) 6-5 in the hard-fought final, via sudden death at Sai International School ground here today.

The exciting match went to the sudden-death stage after play in the regulation time ended in goalless draw and the stalemate continued as both the teams converted all five spot kicks in the tie-breaker.
Earlier in the semifinals, Mother`s Public beat Vikash Residential School 2-1, while Delhi Public School prevailed over St Xavier`s High School (Kedar Gouri) 3-1.

Altogether 27 CBSE school participated in the tournament, which was hosted by Sai International School. Harish Sanduja, Prinicipal of Sai International School handed over the trophy at the closing function.
