Maa Bhuasuni Club, Bidanasi emerged champions in the 33rd Bachan Memorial Football Tournament, defeating Government Sports Hostel, Cuttack in the hard-fought final by 3-2 goals, via penalty shootout at Tigiria, Cuttack today.

Organised by Cuttack District Athletic Association (CDAA) with the support of Karadapalli Youth Club, the tournament started on February 10. Chinmay Behera of Maa Bhuasuni Club was adjudged the best goalkeeper of the tournament, while his teammate Manas Nayak took the prize as best defender.

Bijay Mangaraj and Timan Marandi of Sports Hostel were named as best mid-fielder and best forward respectively. Athgarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain handed over the trophy in the presence of CDAA secretary Asirbad Behera.
