Odisha teenager Kabir Hans won the boys under-16 singles title in AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament at Indore Tennis Club in Indore (Madhya Pradesh) yesterday. In the final, he defeated Denim Yadav (MP) 6-0, 7-5.

This is the second U-16 Championship Series singles title of the year for Kabir, who has gathered a total of seven AITA titles in different categories so far since January, 2014. The seven titles include five singles and two doubles.

Bhubaneswar lad Kabir has improved a lot within last 10 months, increasing his AITA singles rankings from 500 to 56. His latest win fetched him 25 AITA singles ranking points. Kabir is honing his skills under the guidance of coach Farhan Ali. He earlier received coaching from Subhranshu Sarangi at S S Tennis Academy.
