Dalbir Singh, Lakhi Swain, Harshdeep Kaur and Ramesh Ray emerged winners in different categories of the Falcon Cup All Odisha Open Golf Tournament, which was held at Bhubaneswar Golf Club (BGC) course here at Infocity, Chandrasekharpur on December 24 and 25.

Local favourite Dalbir bagged the title in 0 to 18 handicap category, while P K Jena settled as runner-up. The best gross prize was grabbed by Partha Sarathi. Eminent lady golfer Lakhi Swain, the most successful of the state, pocketed the top honour in 19 to 24 handicap group, which featured 47 men and two women competitors. BGC secretary Dulal Pany finished second behind Lakhi.

Harshdeep Kaur won the title in ladies’ category, while Alka Taneja finished runner-up. Ramesh Ray emerged winner in 55-plus veteran group, while Dr S K Mohanty contended himself as runner-up. Over 100 golfers from Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur, Paradeep and 120 Infantry Battalion participated in the two-day tournament, which was the season-ending event of BGC.

BGC president Tara Patnaik, Prava Ranjan Patnaik and Rashmita Patnaik graced the prize presentation ceremony as guests.
