Odisha hammered Uttar Pradesh 3-0 to end their league campaign on a winning note in the final round of the Sub-Junior National Football Championship at Calicut in Kerala today. This was the second win for Odisha boys, who edged out host Kerala 2-1 in their opening match earlier on April 15.

But in between the two wins, Odisha suffered two defeats, going down to Madhya Pradesh by a solitary goal on April 17 and to Mizoram 2-5 on April 21. In their match against Kerala, Sanjay Bate scored a brace for Odisha and his statemate Purusottam Kerketa netted one.
