The first International Baseball Umpires’ Clinic commenced here at Odisha Cricket Association Academy yesterday. As many as 40 umpires from different places of the country joined the four-day clinic, which was inaugurated by former secretary of Odisha Cricket Association and Odisha Olympic Association, Asirbad Behera.

Amateur Baseball Federation of India (ABFI) president Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Orissa Baseball Association president Vijay Khandelwal, secretary Sibananda Pradhan and vice-president Anjan Kuamar Khuntia were present on the occasion.

The clinic is being supervised by two international umpires from Taiwan _ Lin-Chi-Fong and Lee-Wen-Tung. The international umpires’ clinic will be followed by the 31st Senior National Baseball Championship at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack from March 26 to 30, 2017.
