Jayadev College, Naharakanta (Bhubaneswar) and Regional Institute of Education (RIE), Bhubaneswar won the men’s and women’s titles respectively in the Utkal University Inter-College Badminton Tournament, which concluded here at Vani Vihar Indoor Hall today.
In the men’s final, Jayadev College, represented by Debashish Mishra, Ashish Kumar Sethi, Pravakar Pradhan and Rajesh Kumar Bisoi, beat Banki Autonomous College 3-0. The RIE team, featuring Rajeswari Hantal, Bipasa Das, Madhusmita Nayak and Uma Das also won the women’s final comfortably, defeating Swami Vivekanand National Institute of Rehabilitation Training and Research (SVNIRTAR), Olatpur, Cuttack 2-0.
