Odisha state squad, comprising trainees of SAI SAG Water Sports Centre, Jagatpur, returned home today with a rich haul of three gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the 36th Senior National Rowing Championship, held at Pune from December 4 to 10, 2017.

Women rowers maintained their excellent track record as they emerged overall champions, winning all the seven medals for the state. The squad was accompanied by SAI coach P T Paulose, who is an Olympian and Asian Games and Asian Championship medal winner from Kerala.

Women’s pair: Kamla Lakra, Ritu Kaudi (Gold).
Women’s Coxless Four: Sonali Swain, Reshma Kumari Minz, Deepika Xess, Jharana Hasti (Gold).
Women’s Double Scull: M Amusana Devi, Manjula Xess (Bronze).

2000 metre category:
Women’s Double Scull: Reshma Kumari Minz, Manjula Xess (Gold).
Women’s Coxless Four: Sonali Swain, Ritu Kaudi, Deepika Xess, Jharana Hasti (Silver).
Women’s Pair: Maneesha Kispotta, Pricila Baxla (Silver).
Women’s Single Scull: Sanjukta Dung Dung (Brone).
