The Senior Selection Committee of Odisha Cricket Association has brought back middle-order batsman Aravind Singh into the state senior team for their Ranji Trophy Group-C match against Mumbai to be played at KIIT Cricket Ground in Bhubaneswar from November 1 to 4.

In fact, the committee made two changes in the 15-member senior team that drew their last match against Andhra at Vizianagaram earlier this week. Middle-order batsman Abinash Saha and off-spinner Subham Nayak were replaced by Aravind Singh and Prayash Kumar Singh.

Aravind played his last of his six first-class matches against Rajasthan at Jaipur in December, 2015. He also has the credit of playing 19 List-A and 25 T20 matches for the state. Nuapada allrounder Prayash has played only one List-A match so far for the state.

Meanwhile, Odisha Cricket Association today included pace bowler Preet Kanwar Singh Chohan in the state under-23 team for their next C K Nayudu Trophy Plate Group-B match, scheduled to be played against Hyderabad at Hyderabad from November 3 to 6. Chohan brought back into the team as BCCI allowed hime to participate in its domestic tournaments for the season 2017-18 after necessary verification of his birth certificate and other documents.

Chohan has been included in the 15-member team in place of Asmit Rout. Bhubaneswar bowler Chohan played two C K Nayudu Trophy matches this season against Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, but was withdrawn from the team for the third match against Uttar Pradesh following BCCI objection.

Two days ago, OCA had effected four changes in the U-23 team replacing Biswajit Bhuyan, Abhilash Semwal, Preet Kanwar Singh Chohan and Abhijit Ghana by Subham Nayak, Rahul Choudhury, Sk Salman and Subrat Samal.
