Odisha experienced mixed luck in the All-India Inter-State Men’s Team Tennis Championship, trouncing Kerala 3-0 in the opening tie yesterday and then losing to Railways 0-3 today at Bhilai Tennis Club in Bhilai (Chhattisgarh).

Odisha team was led by playing-captain Santosh Kumar Mallik. Organised by Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association, under the aegis of All India Tennis Association, the tournament would conclude on February 23. It would be followed by women’s team championship at the same venue from February 26 to March 3.

RESULTS:
February 19: Odisha beat Kerala 3-0 (Ansu Kumar Bhuyan bt H Suraj 6-2, 6-2. Chinmay Pradhan bt B Goutam 6-3, 7-5. Chinmay Pradhan-Ansu Bhuyan bt H Suraj-B Goutam 7-6 (10-8), 6-2).
February 20: Odisha lost to Railways 0-3 (Chinmay Pradhan lost to Nitin Kirtane 1-6, 2-6. Ansu Kumar Bhuyan lost to PC Vignesh 3-6, 2-6. A Bhuyan-C Pradhan lost to Saurav Sukul-Prithvi Sekhar 5-7, 7-6 (8-6), 8-10).
