A five-wicket haul by in-form captain Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan propelled Odisha to a 54-run win over Assam in their third match of the East Zone Under-23 Women’s One-day League at Jadavpur University ground in Kolkata today. This was the second win for Odisha, who registered their first earlier against Jharkhand.

Put into bat by Assam captain Rekharani Bora, Odisha were bowled out for 121 in 44.5 overs with wicket-keeper Sumitra Sahoo emerging top scorer with 29 runs. In reply, Assam folded up for a paltry 67 in 23 overs.

While Sushree scalped five for 32, Rajashree Swain and D Janaki Reddy picked a brace each, conceding 12 and four runs respectively. Odisha will play their fourth and last match against Tripura on March 3.
