Odisha lost to Tripura by two runs in their fourth and last match of the East Zone Under-23 Women’s One-day League at Jadavpur University ground in Kolkata today. This was the second defeat for Odisha, who finished third in the five-team competition with eight points. Bengal secured the top spot with full 16 points, while Tripura occupied the third place with 12 points.

Opting to bat, Tripura rode on a captain’s knock of 60 by R Saha and 39 by R Debbarma to make a competitive total of 129. In reply, Odisha were restricted to 137 for nine. Captain Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan was top scorer for Odisha with 24 runs. Among Odisha bowlers, Rajashree Swain was most successful with four wickets for 21 runs, wile Louisa Dash and Sushree picked up three and two wickets respectively.
