Odisha registered a thrilling one-run win, via one-over eliminator, against Tamil Nadu in their fifth and last Pool-C match of the Inter-State Women T20 League at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai today. This was the fourth win for Odisha and they finished at the top of the pool table with 16 points. Odisha will next play the Plate semifinals at Bangalore on January 25.

Electing to bat, host Tamil Nadu made 108 for eight in the stipulated 20 overs. The hard-fought match ended in a tie as Odisha also mustered a total of 108 for eight in same number of overs. In the one-over eliminator, Odisha scored five runs for the loss of two wickets and then restricted Tamil Nadu to four for two.

Bolangir duo Madhuri Meheta and Sarita Meher continued to shine with the bat for Odisha, scoring 37 and 23 runs respectively. Among Odisha bowlers, Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan was most successful, taking two wickets for 16 runs.
