  Rameswar Sporting-A lift Rameswar Cup
BHUBANESWAR,27 May 2018 (Team Orisports)
 

Rameswar Sporting-A emerged champions in the 2nd Rameswar Cup Under-19 Cricket Tournament, defeating Paramount Sporting by 23 runs in the final here at BM High School Ground in Old Town today. The champion team received a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and the runners-up team Rs 10,000.

Ayush Raj Choudhry of Paramount Sporting was adjudged man of the tournament, while his teammates
Aniket Tripathy and Krushna Chandra Barik were declared as best bowler and best fielder respectively. The prize for best batsman went to Kunal Mallick of Rameswar Sporting-A.

Tourism and Culture Minister Ashok Chandra Panda handed over the trophy in the presence of Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena, former Odisha Ranji team captain Rashmi Ranjan Parida, Odisha Cricket Association CEO Bidyut Kumar Nayak, Bhubaneswar Athletic Association secretary Sourya Ranjan Parija, host Rameswar Sporting Club president Suresh Kumar Routaray and secretary Deepak Mangaraj.

As many as 14 teams are participating in the tournament, which was inaugurated by Bhubaneswar Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena and former India swing bowler Debasis Mohanty in the presence of Rameswar Sporting Club secretary Deepak Mangaraj.

RESULTS:

May 13 (Match No 1): Bharat Bhusan Cricket Academy
48/10 in 15.3 overs (Rahul Sharma 2/10, Surjit Kumar 2/13, Subham Shree 2/16) lost to Mukteswar Cricket Club 51/1 in 9.2 overs (Bismaya Rout 24; Biju Das 1/9) by 9 wickets. Man of the match: Subham Shree.

May 14 (Match No 2): Oscar Sporting 215/8 in 30 overs (Rahul Nayak 66, Bikram Jgdev Ray 59, Pamir Bharimal 51; Jagyasen Pattanaik3/31, Dina Das2/51) beat Kishore Club 195/10 in 29.4 overs (Satyaban Sasmal 85, Priyabrat Nayak 38; Rahul Nayak 4/44, Pamir Bharimal 2/32) by 20 runs. MoM: Rahul Nayak.

May 15 (Match No 3): Sekhar Sporting 138/8 in 25 overs (Spandan Mohanty 90; Sambit Baral 2/15, Anurag Mishra 2/36) beat SCAAN 129/10 in 18.1 overs (Manoj Sahu 41, Sambit Baral 33; Sekhar Das 4/8, Soyamansu Pati 3/39) by 9 runs. MoM: Spandan Mohanty.

May 16 (Match No 4, QF): Oscar Sporting 117/10 in 26.2 overs (Bikram Jagadev Roy 40, Subham Nanda 21; Sreetam Mohanty 3/11, Rajesh Santy 2/26) lost to Rameswar Sporting-A 118/6 in 24.1 overs (Krushna Chandra Barik 29, Aniket Pattnaik 27; Soumya Ranjan Mishra 2/16) by 4 wickets. May 17 (Match No 5, QF): Sekhar Sporting 109/7 in 20 ovrs (Sumit Patnaik 38; Rahul Sharma 2/23) lost to Mukteswar Cricket Club 111/8 in 18.2 over (Marut Nandan 32; Sai Swarup Das 3/20, Sourav Das 3/23) by 2 wickets. MoM: Marut Nandan.

May 18 (Match No 6, SF): Mukteswar Cricket Club 106/10 in 28.2 overs (Kisan Patel 61; Rajesh Mohanty 2/8, Rajesh Shanty 2/9) lost to Rameswar Sporting-A 110/2 in 14 overs (Kunal Mallick 57, Aniket Pattnaik 28) by 8 wickets. JMoM: Rajesh Mohanty and Kunal Mallick.

May 22 (Match No 10, QF): Crown Sporting 202/9 in 30 overs (Janmejaya Nayak 85, Sidharth Jain 28; Sandeep Chouhan 2/27, Asutosh Chhuria 2/43) beat Sahid Sporting 108/10 in 24.5 overs (Anshuman Sinha 32; Binit Mohanty 4/14) by 94 runs. MoM: Janmejaya Nayak.

May 24 (Match No 11, QF): Green Cricket Academy 77/10 in 21overs (Aniket Tripathy 4/8, Asutosh Nayak 4/21) lost to Paramount Sporting 78/0 in 13 overs (Sudarshan Swain 41 n.o, Ayushraj Choudhry 29 n.o) by 10 wickets. MoM: Aniket Tripathy.
