Odisha suffered second straight defeat in the East Zone Under-23 Women T20 League, going down to Assam by four wickets at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati today. In reply to a meager total of 56 by Odisha, Assam clinched win by overhauling the target in 17.3 overs, losing six wickets in the process.
Put into bat, Odisha batsmen failed to muster a sizeable total as none among them could reach double figures. Though they bowled well, their total of 56 proved too small to defend. Reemalaxmi Ekka, Louisa Dash and D Janaki Reddy took two wickets each for Odisha, will next meet Tripura on March 20.
