After back-to-back wins, Odisha suffered a setback as they lost to Madhya Pradesh by eight wickets in their third Group-E match of the BCCI Senior Women T20 League at CAP Siechem Ground in Puducherry today.

Put into bat by Madhya Pradesh captain Varsha Choudhary, Odisha were restricted to a modest 95 for seven in the stipulated 20 overs. Madhuri Meheta was the top scorer with a 35-ball 23. Madhya Pradesh then rode on an unbeaten 64 by Babita Mandlik to overhaul the target in 17.2 overs, losing two wickets in the process.

A 65-run partnership for the unfinished third wicket between Mandlik and Varsha Choudhary was the match-winning factor for Madhya Pradesh. Captain Choudhary remained unbeaten on 23. Odisha will next meet Bengal tomorrow.
