Good performance and pacers and a 65-run unfinished partnership for the third wicket between Abhishek Raut and Sandeep Pattanaik helped Odisha demolish Arunachal Pradesh by eight wickets in their fourth Group-D match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Senior Men T20 Tournament at Barabati Stadium here today. This was the second win for Odisha who will next meet Assam on February 27.
Chasing a modest target of 76 for victory, Odisha romped home in 13.1 overs, losing two wickets in the process. After the early exit of openers Anurag Sarangi and Rajesh Dhuper, the partnership between Raut and Pattanaik made the chase easy for Odisha. Raut was the top scorer with unbeaten 41, while Pattanaik contributed an unbeaten 28.
Earlier opting to bat, Arunachal Pradesh were bowled out for 75. Among successful Odisha bowlers, Debabrata Pradhan scalped three wickets for 10 runs, while Rajesh Mohanty and Biplab Samantaray picked up two each.
