Odisha ace Ansu Kumar Bhuyan bagged a double, winning both the singles and doubles titles in the Gurukul AITA-OTA Men’s 50K Tennis Tournament, which concluded at Gurukul Resort, Mendhasal, Bhubaneswar today.
Second seed Bhuyan won the singles final, outplaying unseeded Anurag Agarwal of West Bengal 6-2, 6-2. He claimed the doubles crown with statemate Chinmay Pradhan as his partner. In the doubles summit clash, Bhuyan and Pradhan prevailed over West Bengal combination of Aditya Vardhan R Chowdhury and Anurag Agarwal 6-2, 7-5.
Singles champion and runner-up collected 15 and 12 AITA ranking points respectively. In doubles, title winners gained 12 points, while the runners-up settled with eight points. Air Marshal J N Burma presented the trophies in the presence of tournament director P K Pradhan, tournament referee Jatin Batsya and OTA manager Prakash Patnaik.

The tournament was organised by Gurukul Resorts, under the aegis of Odisha Tennis Association (OTA) from December 31, 2018. A total of 35 players from 10 states participated in the tournment.
