Fine allround show by Deepti helped Bengal beat Odisha by 80 runs in their Elite Group Under-23 Women One-Day (WOD) League match at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat today. With this defeat, Odisha completed their league engagements with 10 points from eight matches.

Odisha finished seventh in Group-A with two wins, five defeats and one tie. Bengal emerged group toppers with 32 points, while Karnataka and Kerala finished second and third respectively with 24 points each.

Opting to bat against Odisha, Bengal rode on a century by opening batsman Deepti to make a strong total of 234 for seven in 50 overs. In reply, Odisha were restricted to 154 for nine. Deepti also picked up two wikets for Bengal.
