Unbeaten half-century by Drishya IV and her 80-run partnership for the fifth wicket with Akshaya A helped Kerala beat Odisha by 61 runs in their Elite-Group match of the Womens Under-23 One Day League (ODL) at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat today.
Opting to bat, Kerala put up a challenging total of 185 for six and then restricted Odisha to 124 for eight. Odisha were in deep trouble after losing five wickets for 53 runs. Captain Sushree Dibyadarshini Pradhan, who top scored with 42, tried to repair the damage by compiling 49 runs for the sixth wicket with Sunit Murmu. But that could not prevent Kerala from winning the match. Odisha will next play Railways on March 21.
