Para-badminton (SL-3) World No 1 Pramod Bhagat, his coach Siba Prasad Das, junior football international Subham Sarangi and former weightlifter Soubhagini Pradhan were bestowed with Sportslogon Awards today.

This was the 8th Sportslogon Sports Award Ceremony, which was held here at Jayadev Bhawan. It was announced that all four awardees had been give cash awards of Rs 25,000 each. Sportslogon is a website, managed by Good Sanmaritan Trust.

Pramod bagged Player of the Year Award, while his coach Siba Das took home the award as the Coach of the Year. In the absence of Pramod, who is preparing to compete in the World Para-Badminton Championship in Basel, Switzerland, his doubles partner Dileswar Rao received the award on his behalf.

Odisha-born and Delhi-based football player Subham Sarangi was conferred with the Emerging Player of the Year Award. He is now playing for Delhi Dynamos FC. Rourkela-based former weightlifter Soubhagini Pradhan received the Player of the Bygone Era Award.

The Kumudini Mishra Krida Prativa Puraskar was also presented on the occasion. Young woman karateka Jasmine Parthasarathi Mishra pocketed this award which carried a cash prize of Rs 10,000.

The awards were handed over by SN Mohanty group MD Prabod Mohanty, New Indian Express Deputy Resident Editor Siba Mohanty and Anugul Sukinda Railways MD Dillip Samantray.
