Rourkela boy Rabinarayan Sahoo bagged a double by winning both the under-16 singles and doubles titles in the Gurukul Junior Tennis Tournament, which was organised by Gurukul Tennis Academy at Gurukul Resorts in Mendhasal, near Bhubaneswar from 15 to 18 August, 2019.

The tournament featured competition in three singles and one doubles events. Akshant Beuria and Akriti Acharya (both Bhubaneswar) emerged champions in under-12 boys and under-14 girls singes events respectively.

A total of 35 players participated in the tournament. Income Tax Office Khitij Kumar Mohanty distributed the prizes in the presence of Gurukul Tennis Academy Director Santosh Kumar Mallik.

RESULTS (All finals): U 12 Boys Singles: Akshant Beuria (Bhubaneswar) bt Sai Swostik Mohanty (Cuttack) 9-4. U 16 Boys Singles: Rabinarayan Sahoo (Rourkela) bt Subhranil Barman (Medinipur) 9-4. U-14 Girls Singles: Akriti Acharya (Bhubaneswar) bt Ayushee Das (Bhubaneswar) 9-1. U-16 Boys Doubles: Rabinarayan Sahoo-Aditya Mohapatra bt Akshant Beuria-Subhranil Barman 9-5.
