The Senior Indian Women Football Team, featuring Odisha defender Jabamani Tudu, bagged a special third-placed trophy in the COTIF Cup International Football Tournament in Valencia, Spain yesterday.

Eliseu Gómez Tormos, the president of the tournament handed over the newly instituted third-place trophy along with the Fair Play Award as well. India played four matches in the COTIF Cup, out of which they won two and lost two.

RESULTS:
August 1: India lost to Villarreal CF (Sheila Gomez and Nazaret Padron) 0-2.
August 3: India (Bala Devi 5th, Ratanbala Devi 36th, 38th) beat Bolivia (Sweety Devi 2-OG) 3-1.
August 4: India (Dangmei Grace and Ashalata Devi 2 each, Manisha, Bala Devi and Daya Devi 1 each) beat Mauritania 7-0.
August 8: India lost to Spain U-19 (Jana Fernandez, Irene Lopez) 0-2.
