A 17-member Odisha squad, featuring nine boys and eight girls, left Bhubaneswar today to participate in the 18th Junior National Wushu Championship, scheduled to be held at Punjab University campus in Chandigarh from 15 to 20 September, 2019.

The squad was accompanied by coaches Pankaj Mahanta, Anuradha Dora and managers Sujan Rath and Purandar Giri. Wushu Association of Odisha president Sudhanshu Sekhar Harichandan and secretary Pradyumna Behera wished the squad a successful campaign.

As part of preparation for the National championship, WAO organised a coaching camp for the state squad at Pumas Sports Complex here from September 8 to 12.

Boys Sanshou: Shiba Prasad Rayl, Soulen Dit, Rajesh Munda, Babulu Munda, Sanjib Nayak, Krishna Khandayat, Nitish Behera, Aditya Sadangi.
Girls Sanshou: Arati Gope, Mukta Munda, Manju Munda.
Boys & Girls Toulu: Pallabi Samal, Anshupriya Sangram Singh, Sonali Barik, Akanskhya Barik, Priyambada Pradhan, Soubhagya Saran.
