Four women of Bhubaneswar-based Utkal Karate School (UKS) have bagged a total of eight medals in the 5th International Invitational Karare Championship, which is being organised by Global Seishinkai Shitoryu Karate-Do Federation at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata from 26 to 28 July, 2019.

According to an UKS press release, the eight medals included four gold, one silver and three bronze. Anupama Swain won one gold each in women kata and fight, while the other two gold were captured by Debismita Dalabehera and Monali Sahoo in women kata and fight categories respectively.

The trio of Anupama, Monali and Anuska Priyadarshini pocketed the lone silver medal in women team kata. Debismita also grabbed one bronze in women fight, while the other two bronze were claimed by Anuska in women fight and kata events.
