Local DAV Public School, CDA emerged champions in the 14th PVR Murthy Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament, beating Kalinga Institute of Social Schiences (KISS), Bhubaneswar by wickets in the final at Bhubanananda Odisha Engineering School Ground here today.
Former India fast bowler and National selector T A Sekar handed over the trophy and prizes at the closing ceremony. Saideep Mohapatra (DAV, CDA) was named the man of the tournament and he received a motor cycle. Arvind Mohapatra (DAV, CDA) and Md Nadeem Khan (LR DAV) bagged the prizes as best batsman and best bowler respectively.
Organised by organised by Union Sporting Club, the tournament was inaugurated by Bhubanananda Odisha School of Engineering (BOSE) Principal Gyana Ranjan Ray earlier on 27 November, 2019.
