Saurashtra trounced Odisha by 119 runs in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy U-19 Cricket Tournament at NFRSA Ground in Guwahati today. This was the fifth consecutive defeat for Odisha who earlier lost to Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda and Assam.

Opting to bat after winning the toss, Saurashtra made 194 and then bundled out Odisha for 75. Five among Odisha batters failed to open their account, while Manas Ranjan Nayak top scored with 21.

Odisha bowlers, however, did a good job by restricting the opposition to a below-200 total. Binayak Mohanty was most successful bowler with four wickets for 28 runs, while Sandeep Chauhan chipped in with three for 31. Odisha will play their sixth and last match against Jammu & Kashmir on October 23.
