Half-century each by captain Madhusmita Behera and opener Madhuri Meheta powered Odisha to a two-wicket against Chhattisgarh in their penultimate Elite Group-B match of the Womens Senior One-Day Tournament at Dadoji Konddev Stadium in Thane today. This was the fifth win for Odisha in seven matches.

Opting to bat, Chhattisgarh rode on an unbeaten century by Shivi Pandey and a half-century by Yashi Pandey to make a challenging total of 199. Odisha overhauled the target thanks to a second-wicket partnership of 155 runs between Madhuri and Madhusmita.

Madhusmita Behera, however, missed out on a century by six runs. Her 110-ball knock was laced with 15 boundaries. Madhuri slammed a 107-ball 59, which was studded with seven hits to the rope.
