Vaibhab Arora scalped seven wickets to guide Himachal Pradesh to a 26-run win over Odisha in their Elite Group-C match of the BCCI U-23 Mens One-Day Tournament in Dehradun today. This was the second straight defeat for Odisha.

Chasing 198 for victory, Odisha folded up for 171 in 44.3 overs. Reeling at 32 for four and the 93 for seven, Odisha made notable recovery, thanks to a 78-run partnership for the eighth wicket between Jamala Bhanjan Mohapatra and Tarani Sa.

But the dismissal of Sa turned out to be the end of the road for Odisha as the last three wickets fell at the same score. The 52 extras conceded by Himachal proved to be the highest score for Odisha.

Earlier, Himachal rode on a half-century each by D Rangi and A Jamwal to make a competitive total of 197. Among Odisha bolwers, Pree Kanwar Singh Chohan and Rahul Choudhary bagged three wickets each, while Jamala Mohapatra picked up a brace.
