  Srinibas Patnaik becomes new OAA president

G Srinibas Patnaik became the new president of Odisha Athletics Association (OAA) after he was unanimously elected in the Annual General Meeting of the apex athletics governing body of the state, held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack yesterday. This was informed through a press release by OAA.

Srinibas Patnaik, a leading eucationist, who owns and runs 62 schools across India, replaced Jagamohan Pattnaik, who resigned from the post after being elected as the president of Odisha Olympic Associon (OOA) yesterday. Srinibas Patnaik, who is the Chairman and Managing Director fo St Xaviers Group of Schools, will function as the president of OAA till next election, which is supposed to be held in September 2022.

The budged for the year 2020-21, which involves an income of Rs 40,92,000,  expenditure of Rs 40,32,000 and a surplus of Rs 62,000 was passed in the OAA annual general meeting, which presided over by its vice-president Dr Janardan Das.

OAA secretary Asirbad Behera, vice-presidents Dulal Chandra Pradhan, Nalini Kumar Das, Durga Madhab Naik and Tapas Kumar Roy Choudhury; joint-secretaries Ashok Kumar Sahu and Rabi Nayak, treasurer Rabi Sankar Pratihari and members of affiliated district associations were present in the meeting.
