Shantanu Mishra will lead Odisha in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2020-21, the official Senior Men One-Day Tournament of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCC). A 22-member Odisha team, featuring eight new faces, was announced by Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) Senior Men Selection Committees Chairman Pravanjan Mullick in Cuttack today. The new faces are: Rama Chandra Behera, Kartik Biswal, B Shiva, Sourav Kanojia, Rakesh Pattnaik, Harshit Rathod, Bikash Rout, Amrit Khatua.

The ensuing edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy will be held in six cities across the country from 20 February to 14 March, 2021. Karnataka will start as the defending champions. A total of 38 teams will take part in the tournamenmt. Teams have been split into six groups.

The first five groups are the elite group consisting of six teams in each and the remaining one is the plate group consisting of eight teams. The Elite Groups A, B, C, D, and E will play in Surat, Indore, Bangalore, Jaipur, and Kolkata respectively while the plate group will play their games in different locations of Tamil Nadu.

Odisha have been placed in Elite Group-C along with Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Railways and Bihar. Elite Group-C matches will be played in Bangalore from February 20. Odisha will play their first match against Kerala on February 20. Later on Odisha will face Railways on Feb 22, Karnataka on Feb 24, Bihar on Feb 26 and Uttar Pradesh on Feb 28.
