Indian coacch Anshul Katiyar today joined Odisha FC as as Assistant Coach. An AFC A License holder, Katiyar has the experience of working as an Assistant Coach at ISL clubs like Hyderabad FC and FC Pune City. He was the Head Coach of their reserve teams and was Head of Youth Development at Hyderabad FC as well. He was also associated with Delhi United FC, Garhwal FC and Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools.

ARIDAI CABRERA JOINS: On 16th August 2021, Spanish winger joined Odisha FC. The 32-year-old winger came with a vast experience of playing professional football for various Spanish teams after starting his youth career with Universidad LP. He also made his maiden senior appearance for Universidad LP B in 2006 and played for their senior team the very next year.

GOALKEEPING, STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACHES NAMED: On 13th August 2021, Odisha FC named Joaquin Valerio Olivera and Jose Mascaros Balaguer as its Goalkeeping Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coach respectively. After retiring from professional football, Olivera was associated with different Spanish clubs and has UEFA B Goalkeeper Coach and UEFA A Licence. Balaguer joined the Bhubaneswar-based club with more than 20 years of experience in fitness training in football.

HECTOR RODAS JOINS ODISHA FC: On 11th August 2021, Odisha FC signed in Spanish centre-back Hector Rodas ahead of the eighth season of the Indian Super League (ISL). The 33-year-old from Valencia started his youth career with Levante before making his senior debut for their reserve team and eventually played for the first team in 2009. He has also played for numerous Spanish teams like Elche, Betis, Cordoba, Cultural Leonesa, Alcorcon. His first stint at a foreign club came in 2017 when he joined Belgian club Cercle Brugge.

NIKHIL RAJ BROUGHT ON LOAN: On 5th August 2021, Odisha FC announced that it has reached an agreement with Kickstart FC over a loan deal of young Indian midfielder Nikhil Raj who would now play for the Bhubaneswar-based side during the upcoming 8th Indian Super League (ISL). The 20-year-old has been a part of the Karnataka team in two editions of the Santosh Trophy and was awarded the best midfielder in the BDFA Super Division last season. He went on loan to the Indian Arrows made nine appearances for them in the previous season of the I-League.

KIT SPONSORSHIP DEAL: On 3rd August 2021, Odisha FC announced partnership with Danish sportswear brand hummel ahead of eighth season of the Indian Super League. The Danish brand has a proud sports history and is one of the most recognised team sports brands in the world, with roots in football & handball, has previously been worn by iconic football teams such as Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Benfica and the Denmark national team. Today, hummel continues to sponsor clubs and players within handball and football, Everton & Southampton to name a few.

HERNANDEZ ROPED IN: On 30th July 2021 Odisha FC signed in Spain and Read Madrid B midfielder Javi Hernandez. He played ISL for ATK in 2019. After winning the title with the Kolkata-based side, he was retained by the newly-formed ATK Mohun Bagan in 2020. Javi has an experience of playing 37 matches in the Hero ISL and even scored two goals in the final of the 2019-20 season against Chennaiyin FC. He has also represented the Spanish U-19 national team.
