Unbeaten half-century by captain Karan Mohapatra and a four-wicket haul by Vishal Kumar enabled Bhubaneswar-B crush Puri by nine wickets in their preliminary league match of the Inter-District U-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at Centurion University Ground in Jatni today.

Originally scheduled to be played on August 10, the match was abandoned due inclement weather and was replyed on the reserved day today. Opting to bat after winning the toss, Puri folded up for a paltry 73.

Vishal Kumar continued his superb form with ball for Bhubaneswar-B, scalping four wickets for nine runs. In reply, Bhubaneswar-B overhauled the target comfortably, losing only one wicket. Captain Mohapatra led the chase with authority, hitting a 35-ball unbeaten 50.
