  Kalahandi Cup: Sundargarh stun East Coast Railway

Impressive hauls of four wickets each by Amit Das and Govinda Poddar propelled Sundargarh to a stunning 13-run win over fancied East Coast Railway in their super league match of the Kalahandi Cup Senior & U-19 Men Inter-District Cricket Tournament at Nimpur Ground in Cuttack today.

Odisha Blue, Odisha Green, Cuttack-A, Odisha Red and Odisha Violet posted wins in five other matches of the day. Bowlers asserted supremacy in most of the six matches with eight among them capturing four wickets each. No batsman was able to score a century in the day. However, eight batsman hit a half-century each.

Match 1 (At Nimpur Cricket Ground, Cuttack): Sundargarh 81/10 in 33.5 overs (Jayanta Behera 4/17, Rajesh Mohanty 4/26, Ankit Yadav 2/15) beat East Coast Railway 68/10 in 21.1 overs (Amit Das 4/13, Govinda Poddar 4/14, Soubhagya Rout 2/13) by 13 runs. PoM: Amit Das.

Match 2 (At Sunshine Ground, Cuttack): Odisha Blue 268/7 in 50 overs (Narendra Dash 65, Saurabh Kanojia 55*, Sandeep Pattnaik 52, Sukesh Heera 33; Aum A Narayan 3/57) beat Khordha 211/10 in 46 overs (Aryashree D Bhatta 81, Rakesh Pattnaik 60; Shresth Singh 4/62, Ritesh Priyaranjan 2/27, Basanta Mohanty 2/13) by 57 runs. Match 3 (At SCB Medical College Ground, Cuttack): Odisha Green 231/7 in 50 overs (Prayash Singh 70*, Gaurav Choudhary 38, Debabrata Pradhan 33; Abhijit P Ghana 2/15, Sanjay K Patra 2/65) beat Odisha Yellow 79/10 in 36.2 overs (Saransh Kumar 24, Sai Subham 22; Harshit Rathod 4/5, Prayash Singh 3/16, Rajesh Patra 2/21) by 152 runs. Match 4 (At Ravenshaw University Ground-1, Cuttack): Cuttack-A 180/10 in 49.1 overs (Aravinda Singh 35, Abhishek Raut 33, Pratyush Pradhan 28; Tarani Sa 3/35, Manas R Mishra 2/30) beat Jharsuguda 104/10 in 45.1 overs (Roshan Prasad 32; Jamala B Mohapatra 2/11, Abhishek Raut 2/29, Tapas Das 2/16) by 76 runs. Match 5 (At Ravenshaw University Ground-2, Cuttack): Rourkela 113/10 in 47.2 overs (Aashirwad Swain 47, Gobinda Tandia 21; Milan Samal 4/21, Dhiraj Kumar Singh 2/19) lost to Odisha Red 114/4 in 29.1 overs (Devendra Kunwar 52*; Gobinda Tandia 3/32) by 6 wickets. PoM: Milan Samal.

Match 6 (At Bidanasi Ground, Cuttack): Odisha Pink 117/10 in 32 overs (Anshuman Sahoo 27, Shamsul A Khan 23; Papu Ray 4/16, Ashish Rai 2/20, Sarbeswar Mohanty 2/19) lost to Odisha Violet 118/1 in 25.3 overs (Shantanu Mishra 63*, Om T Munde 36*) by 9 wickets. PoM: Shantanu Mishra.
