After two blank days at the 16th Summer Paralympic Games in Tokyo, India got back the medal momentum, clinching three medals today and increasing its total to a best ever haul of 13. With two gold, six silver and five bronze to its name, India now occupy the 37 th position in the Games medal tally.
It all started with golden girl Avani Lekhara clinching a bronze medal in the women 50m air rifle 3 positions SH1 event. Praveen Kumar followed it up with a silver in the men high jump T64 event and recurve archer Harvinder Singh bagged the bronze in the men individual open category.
