All incumbent office-bearers of Hockey Odisha have been re-elected uncontested for a four-year term (2021-2025). This was announced by the Hockey Odisha secretary Pratap Satpathy through a press release after the Annual General Body Meeting of the apex governing body of the sport in Odisha today.

The results of the elections were declared in the AGM which was held at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. Among the office-bearers elected uncontested there were three new faces. They were vice-presidents Nabaranjan Pattnaik, Rosy Tripathy and joint-secretary Alakananda Panigrahi. The two new vice-presidents replaced Deshbandhu Gupta (Sunshine Club, Cuttack) and Sanjubala Mohanty (Khordha District Hockey Association).

This will be the third term for Justice (Retd) A S Naidu as the president of Hockey Odisha. He was elected for the first time on 14 September 2013. On the other hand Pratap Satpathy, an advocate by profession, has been functioning as the secretary of Hockey Odisha for around two decades.

Meanwhile, Hockey Odisha disclosed that Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has been given affiliation as permanent member of the State body. This was approved in the General Body Meeting.
