Sumit Mishra picked up three wickets for six runs to help Khordha beat Nuapada by eight wickets in their preliminary league match of the Inter-District U-16 Boys Cricket Tournament at Centurion University Ground in Jatni today. Originally scheduled to be played on August 5, the match had to be abandoned due to rain.

Opting to bat today, Nuapada were bowled out for 56 in in 29.4 overs. Sumit Mishra caused maximum damage to the Nuapada innings with his three-wicket haul. In reply, Khordha romped home comfortabley, losing only two wickets in the process.

Match 32 (At Centurion Ground, Jatni): Nuapada 56/10 in 29.4 overs (Nikhil Chandrapar 22; Sumit Mishra 3/6, Dibyendu Panda 2/5, Rakesh K Panda 2/18) lost to Khordha 57/2 in 15.3 overs (Mrityunjaya Mohapatra 28*, Saumya R Murmu 22*; Bikram Chhatria 2/12) by 8 wickets.
