MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS:

NATIONAL:
*     Represented Odisha and Railway in National Hockey Championships for many years.

INTERNATIONAL:
*     Made International debut in Test Series vs Germany and Australia, 1993.
*     Represented India in the 6th Indira Gandhi International Gold Cup Tournament held at New Delhi from 14-22 December, 1996.
*     Played around 6 international matces in China, South Korea, Kazakhstan and India.

OTHER IMPORTANT DATA:
*     She is the first internatonal woman hockey player of Odisha.
*     But despite being the first woman hockey international of Odisha, her contribution is yet to be recognized by the home state.
*     She came to Bhubaneswar on her own to watch matches in FIH Men World Cup 2018.
*     But she never failed to invite Odisha players to her home when they visited Kapurthala.
*     She says, ‘‘If you pay respect to elders, you will get respect from youngsters.’’
*     Joined Panposh Sports Hostel, Rourkela in 1986 as the youngest trainee, studying Class-IV.
*     When she played for India, the National team had not more than 13 players.
*     Her husband is also a Railway employee.
