*     Appointed Head Coach of Odisha Senior Men Cricket Team for the third successive season by Odisha Cricket Association on 27 November, 2020.
*     Appointed chief coach of the State Ranji Team for the season 2018-19 on August 24, 2018.
*     On August 10, 2015, he was appointed as the batting coach of Odisha Ranji and under-23 teams for the season 2015-16.
*    Led Odisha in Ranji Trophy championship for three seasons.
*    Under his captaincy Orissa won the East Zone one-day tournament for the first time in 1999-2000.
*    After serving Orissa for 14 years, Parida changed his allegiance to Assam in 2008.
*    He made another change change of allegiance to represent Rajasthan in Ranji Trophy.
*    Played County cricket for North Allerton Cricket Club for three years from 2005 to 2007.
*    His most memorable match was against Madhya Pradesh in Ranji Trophy quarterfinal at Gwalior in 2000. Orissa won the match after chasing around 450 runs.
*    Scored 171 to guide Orissa to semifinals for the first time in the history of Orissa cricket.
*    Married Sagarika, an Oissi dancer, on 14th July, 2002 and became a father of girls child on 27th June, 2008.
*     Praising Parida’s batting, forme India Test opener Aakash Chopra wrote in his book `Out of the Blues’: He is one of the best players of spin bowling I have come across... it looks like he is trying not to hurt the ball while hitting it. When I see someone like that at the top of his game I count my blessings. I may not be half as good as him, but I am the proud owner of an India cap.
*     In his 88 Ranji appearances for the Odisha, Parida recorded 5,830 runs.
*     Representing Assam for one season in 2008-2009, he scored 333 runs in five Ranji matches.
*     Played in two Ranji Trophy finals for Rajasthan.
*     Played five years in the North Yorkshire-South Durham league.
*     In the 2011 Ranji Triophy final, he scored 56 and 89 against Baroda to help Rajasthan win the title. He was adjudged the man of the final.
*     Parida’s father, an engineer by profession, wanted him to follow his footsteps.
