DESCRIPTION:
*     FIH Hockey Pro League (Men) 2022-23 will be the fourth edition of the Men’s FIH Pro League, which was first held in 2019.
*     A total of nine countries would compete in this edition of the FIH Pro League.
*     The nine teams are: Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Germany, Great Britain, India, Netherlands, New Zealand and Spain.
*     The competition will serve as a qualifier for the Hockey World Cup and the Olympic Games.
*     Belgium has been the most successful team, winning the title once in 2020-21 and finishing runners-up twice in 2019 and 2021-22.
*     Australia and Netherlands have won the title once each in 2019 and 2021-22 respectively.
*     Australia finished runners-up once in 2020-21, while Netherlands secured third place in 2019.
*     Germany and India have bagged the third place once each in 2020-21 and 2021-22 respectively.
*     The 2022-23 season will see the implementation of a promotion-relegation principle for the very first time
*     Team finishing last will be relegated, while the team winning the 2022 FIH Hockey Nations Cup – a new event – will be promoted for the 2023-2024 Pro League season.
