* Kalinga Lancers (KL) is a field hockey team based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. * It is co-owned by Odisha Sports Development and Promotion Company (OSDPC), which has been jointly formed by state-owned Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) and Coal India subsidiary, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL). * According to government authorities, OSPDC is a non-for-profit company, created under Section-25 of Indian Companies Act. * The company will be functioning at Kalinga Stadium Sports Complex at Bhubaneswar. * Kalinga Lancers is the 6th franchise to make its debut in the second edition of the Hero Hockey India League, starting on January 25, 2014. |
