DESCRIPTION:
* Rourkela Gymkhana, a premier cricket club of Odisha, was established way back in the year 1986.
* It has the reputation of producing many national level cricketers, including Ashok Singh, R Srikanth, Binod Singh, Alekh Barik, Subash Mohanty, Tapas Das, CD Sunil, Atish Jena, Natraj Behera, Pritamjit Das, Govinda Poddar, Amit Das, Anshuman Gope, Ranjit Singh.
* Rourkela Gymkhana also has the privilege of playing stalwart cricketers of Odisha namely: Late Harmohan Praharaj, Dr Sanjay Satpathy, Somnath Sahoo, Ranjib Biswal, Avinash Khatua and Panna Lal Bose.
* The club registered itself with the Sub-Registrar, Rourkela in 2014 and has Rajya Sabha Member, IPL Governing Council chairman and Odisha Cricket Association president Ranjib Biswal as its chief patron.
