Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), a sister concern of KIIT University, on Tuesday announced to organise an under-16 all-India rugby tournament here from November 20 to 25.
A total of 20 teams from Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Jharkhand, Chhattishgarh, UP, Kerala and Orissa have confirmed to participate.
Teams include Orissa RFA (A), Orissa RFA (B), KISS, Jharkhand, Chhattishgarh, Uttar Pradesh, La Martiniere (Kolkata), Jungle Crows, Future Hope, Young Rugby Club, Frank Anthony, Delhi RFC, Magicians, Nanded (Mumbai), Kolhapur RFC and Kerala RFC.
Indian Rugby Football Union President Pramod Khanna and film actor Rahul Bose are expected to join opening ceremony.
The tournament will have 45 matches in 12-a-side category and 34 matches in seven-a-side section. There are six pools in both the formats. Bowl final will decide the winner of every pool, while Plate final will determine the losing team. The top two teams of the Bowl final will be eligible to play the Cup final. The duration of each match will be 15 minutes.
