  KISS boys win all-India rugby title

Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) annexed the trophy in the all-India under-16 rugby tournament at the KIIT campus in Bhubaneswar today. In the Cup finals, KISS outclashed Chennai 43-0. Future Hope edged out Jungle Crows 7-5 to finish second.
In the plate finals, Delhi defeated UP 17-0 and Magicians thrashed YRC 32-0. Kolhapur prevailed over Chhatisharh 17-0 and Nerul Gymkhana trounced Kerala 20-5 in the Bowl finals of the 18-team tournament.
Former rugby international and actor Rahul Bose provided a philip to the game in the state by representing the veteran side in an exhibition match against the boys of KISS. He also graced the closing ceremoy along with joint secretary of Union Sports Department, I Shrinivas and KIIT founder Dr A Samanta.
As many as 17 teams from across the country joined the six-day tournament, which has been newly introduced by Indian Rugby Football Union (IRFU). Earlier, Tourism Minister Debi Prasad Mishra inaugurated the tournament in the presence of Sports Secretary S C Patnaik, Exim Bank chairman TCV Subramanian, KIIT founder Dr A Samanta and Orissa Rugby Football Association president Priyadarshi Mishra.
