Pappu (NP) Singh emerged champion in the 0-18 handicap category of the 7th Commander Signature Cup Golf Tournament, which concluded at the 120 Infantry Battalion course in Bhubaneswar yesterday.
In the 18-hole event, Pappu edged out J N Rath, who finished runner-up. Rajiv Ray took the prize for the longest drive. Col Kashmir Singh claimed the 19-24 handicap title, scoring 39 points. Lt Col D K Singh Deo finished runner-up with 37 points. The prize for longest drive went to Jayant Mishra.
The nine-hole event ended with D P Mishra winning the veteran title with 18 points, ahead of runner-up Gopinath Sarangi (17 points). Ramesh Ray got the prize for longest drive, while the top honour for closest-to-the-pin was shared by Orissa Governer M C Bhandare and Rehan Ali.
