Youth international medallist Shrabani Nanda emerged as the fastest runner by winning the 100 metre sprint title in the State Women`s Sports Festival, which commenced at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar today.
Government Sports Hostel trainee Shrabani completed the distance in 10 seconds.
Over 1,100 sportswomen from 28 districts joined the three-day festival, which was inaugurated by State Sports Secretary S C Pattanaik.
The opening-day schedule featured competition in athletics, swimming, kho-kho, kabaddi, handball and volleyball.
