Nalco Open Tennis Tournament, a major domestic tennis tournament of the state, has has made an important amendment in its structure by enacting an event for girls. ``The 10th edition of the tournament, beginning at Kalinga Stadium here on December 12, will feature a singles event for under-14 girls,`` announced host Bhubaneswar District Tennis Association president Suresh Chandra Mohapatra on Tuesday. The three-day tournament, comprising seven events, carries a total cash prize of Rs 56,200. Other six events include men`s singles and doubles, women`s singles, boys` under 14 and 18 singles and veteran men`s (above 45) doubles. The men`s singles winner will get Rs 4,800, while the women`s champion will receive Rs 2,500.
