East Coast Railway won the Kalahandi Cup Senior Inter-District Cricket Tournament, which concluded at Ravenshaw University ground in Cuttack today.
The railway side crushed Cuttack-A in the final by 235 runs to grab the top prize of Rs 1 lakh. Subit Biswal, Rashmi Ranjan Das and Alok Sahu played instrumental roles in the railway victory.
Biswal and Das scored a century each, while Sahu picked up six wickets. Runners-up Cuttack-A received Rs 50,000. Man of the tournament Subit Biswal was given a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle and a silver tropy, while man of the match Alok Sahu took home a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Utpal Chatterjee, coach of the East Zone Duleep Trophy team, gave away the trophy and prizes at the closing function.
