After helping Orissa retain their place in the Elite Division of the Ranji Trophy Championship, cricket star Debasis Mohanty used his time for a noble cause by inaugurating a computer traning and placement centre at Alangapur village, near Astaranga in Puri district today. The former India swing bowler was of the opinion that sportspersons of the state stand to gain a lot by using information technology. Nalco Assistant Manager Mohanty boosted the confidence of the locality`s best cricketer Suresh Tripathy, best students Rupali Mohanty and Dukhishyam Mallick, presenting them a memento each on the occasion.
